The Hillman Fellows Program for Innovative Cancer Research, supported by the $20 million gift from the Henry L. Hillman Foundation and The Hillman Foundation, will provide seed money for scientists to explore new areas of cancer research in stem cell biology, cancer vaccines and cellular therapies, methods for diagnosing and monitoring cancer, and programs for cancer prevention. The program is part of an overall five-year, $200 million plan to expand the Hillman Cancer Center’s research laboratories and facilities, recruit world-class clinicians and scientists, broaden clinical research studies as well as community outreach and education, and increase development of research endowments. A major capital campaign to support the overall program is in the early planning phase. |
