UPMC Health Plan to host Healthy Living Lecture SeriesThe city’s top medical experts will help you stay healthy this fall as part of a free lecture series sponsored by UPMC Health Plan in partnership with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. The UPMC Health Plan Healthy Living Lecture Series is a six-week series featuring local medical and health experts from UPMC Health Plan, UPMC, and the University of Pittsburgh. Topics will include the latest health news on the flu and avian flu, diabetes, and holistic health, and the launch of the fitness initiative, “America On the Move in Pittsburgh.” The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and UPMC Health Plan are partnering to promote healthy lifestyles for Pittsburgh residents. The partnership will combine UPMC Health Plan’s expertise in health-related issues with the many recreational and stress-relieving opportunities provided by the great parks of Pittsburgh. Healthy Living lectures will last about 30 minutes and be followed by a question-and-answer session. They will be held at noon on Thursdays at the Schenley Park Visitor Center (see schedule at right).
