Enter to attend Steelers camp
Send in voided airbills for a chance to win

UPMC is eliminating its reliance on airbills—cumbersome paperwork that accompanies a package sent through an express mail service—and encouraging all staff members to use a secure Web-based shipping system.

Void your UPS airbills for a chance to win tickets to UPMC VIP Day at Steelers Training Camp.

To move this project forward, UPMC staff are invited to take an existing UPS airbill (or one from FedEx, DHL, or another company) and write "void" on it to indicate your office or department is destroying these forms.

Copies of voided airbills should be forwarded by internal mail to UPMC Corporate Communications, Suite 8051, Forbes Tower, or faxed to 412-647-0762. Voided airbills will be entered in a drawing to win one of four pairs of tickets to UPMC's VIP Day at Steelers Training Camp on Thursday, Aug. 16, at St. Vincent College in Latrobe. Make certain your contact information is listed on the voided airbill.

Getting started with UPS CampusShip

UPMC staff members should use CampusShip, a Web-based resource, to send UPS express mail and packages. To sign up for CampusShip, all UPMC staff members responsible for UPS deliveries should complete the following steps:

1.    Staff members must have a user ID and password to access CampusShip from the UPS website. To request a user ID and password, send an e-mail to one of the following e-mail addresses: mailroom@upmc.edu, webbrl@upmc.edu, or James.lilja@oce.com.

2.    Include your name, telephone number, fax number (if applicable), name of business unit and department ID number, name of building and its physical address (not mailing address), and current UPS account number.

3.    Also include any information regarding your current level of UPS service. For example, many departments have daily UPS pickups, while others take their express mail to UPS drop-off boxes.

4.    A UPS user ID and password will be forwarded to you via e-mail. This e-mail will include a link to a CampusShip user guide. The first time you access the site, you will be required to change your password.

5.    Destroy all UPS paper airbills when you begin to use CampusShip.

For the majority of package deliveries, UPMC staff should use UPS. However, there are exceptions, such as shipping of hazardous materials. In such instances, staff should continue to use their current vendor.
