The minute that can change your life

Ad campaign highlights health matters

Have you noticed UPMC on your television while you drank a cup of coffee during the morning news? Or maybe it was in the evening, in the middle of your favorite television program? Don’t confuse these spots for your average, ordinary ads. Known as UPMC Minute, this series of TV commercials and related website content could change your life.

A new sequence of 60-second spots, UPMC Minute is a series of conversations with UPMC medical experts that hit the airwaves Nov. 5 and will appear during local TV news and primetime programming. This initiative launches UPMC’s new advertising campaign, which includes radio, print, Web, and outdoor ads that encourage people to look for the spots on TV and visit www.upmc.com for further information, and to schedule an appointment if appropriate.

When people visit the website, they will find a library featuring the TV commercials and extended interviews with the same physicians. Visitors will also find an appointment request form that will enable them to request an appointment electronically through the UPMC Referral Service.

Through these spots, UPMC hopes to help people learn how the latest treatments can make a difference in health care. And possibly change their lives.
