Spring into better health

The UPMC MyHealth worksite exercise program has been expanded to include classes sponsored by Gold’s Gym and the Center for Integrative Medicine. New offerings include a hip hop class and new locations include Harmar, Churchill, and the Center for Integrative Medicine. Sessions run for 10 weeks and are $50 per person — a cost of only $5 per person per class, about half the market value.
Online registration for the spring session, which begins Monday, March 23, will be available for UPMC employees from Monday, March 2, through Thursday, March 26. The classes, which include variations for both beginner and advanced participants, are being offered at Harmar, Churchill, and the Center for Integrative Medicine. For a complete listing of class descriptions, locations, and terms and conditions, visit http://myhealth.infonet.upmc.com/WorksiteClasses.htm. Space is limited so register early.

How to enroll

To enroll for the spring session, go to Take a Healthy Step on MyHealth Online, available through My HUB, between Monday, March 2, through Thursday, March 26. Note, online registration is not available for UPMC staff who: are a pre-designated site contact; are association-wide members with the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh; previously received a YMCA voucher.

If you meet any of the above criteria or do not have access to a computer but would still like to register, call UPMC Health Plan Member Services at 1-888-553-8762, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you need to cancel your enrollment, go to Take a Healthy Step on MyHealth Online available through My HUB, or call Member Services at 1-888-553-8762. If you cancel before the first scheduled class, no deduction will be taken from your paycheck. After the first class, no refunds will be granted.

Payroll deduction available

If you register online, fees will be automatically deducted from your paycheck. Employees who are paid biweekly will have $25 deducted twice per session for each class; employees who are paid monthly will have one $50 deduction per session for each class. These payroll deductions will occur on the first full pay period after classes begin.
