Nov. 14 , 2008 AccoladesCongratulations to the following members of the UPMC community who have received recent public recognition. Scott Lammie, chief financial officer (CFO) of UPMC Health Plan and senior vice president of the UPMC Insurance Services Division, was recently named Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser by the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) in recognition of the time, resources, and expertise he shares with numerous area charitable causes. Founded in 1960, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) works to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. Florence Murphy and Sanford Danovitz, volunteers at UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside, were each named “Community Champion” by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Heinz Endowments, and the Pittsburgh Foundation. On their behalf, the Post-Gazette will submit their names, along with those of the 48 other honorees, to the American Institute for Public Service for consideration of a Jefferson Award for Public Service. |
