UPMC announces launch of visiting nurses association

UPMC’s home health, hospice, and private duty nursing have been strengthened through the consolidation of the former Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County with UPMC/Jefferson Regional Home Health.  The VNA Venango formerly was operated as a subsidiary of UPMC Northwest, and includes both a certified home health agency and a licensed hospice. The organizational consolidation allows for improved efficiencies as well as providing mechanisms to expand the geographic reach in the northwest region of the state. Services will continue to be provided through the following entities: UPMC/Jefferson Regional Home Health; Children’s-at-Home; Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County Inc.; Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County, Hospice; and Venango Visiting Nurses Association Private Duty.

“Through this new alignment, our infrastructure is even more comprehensive, and we are able to provide more significant volume across Pennsylvania and Ohio,” says Deborah Brodine, president, UPMC Community Provider Services.
