Lawrenceville Family Health Center raises money for Turkey Fund
For the past three years, Jane Dukovic of the Lawrenceville Family Health Center, and her colleagues Sue Latwin and Vivian Hughes, have organized an annual fundraiser to help raise money for 10 needy families to have a Thanksgiving dinner. They call it the “Turkey Fund.”
Fundraisers began in August, when the 21 staff members held a hoagie sale. In October, staff members brought in home-baked and store-bought goods for a bake sale. Doctors from the health center also supported fundraising efforts.
Each of the 10 families from the health center will receive a turkey and a $25 gift card for Giant Eagle.
