UPMC’s Haitian relief efforts continue
A U.S. Air Force flight took the children to a military base in Florida, and they arrived in Pittsburgh around 9:30 a.m. The children were accompanied by one of their caretakers, Ali McMutrie, who is a Pittsburgh native; a contingent of UPMC physicians and other medical personnel; Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell; and Rep. Jason Altmire.
The children are receiving evaluations and treatment at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.

You either may designate a specific amount to donate via payroll deduction, or you may donate the cash value of up to eight hours of unused paid time off (PTO).
All funds collected will be directed to groups that will provide immediate relief, like the Red Cross, and those that will support long-term rebuilding, like Global Links, which collaborates with the World Health Organization.
Direct donations — Individuals who wish to support the relief efforts by check rather than by payroll deduction can donate through the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation by sending a check payable to UPMC to:
