Find A Doctor search tool improved
It's now easier to find a UPMC physician to meet your needs thanks to recent upgrades made to the Find A Doctor search tool on UPMC.com.
In addition to seeing a new design, users now can search for a physician by language. The left-hand column conveniently features related resources, such as links to UPMC Urgent Care and UPMC HealthTrak, while prominently displaying contact information for scheduling an appointment. And the newly updated results page better highlights physician credentials.
Are you ready to set your quit date? Take a Healthy Step to quit smoking
Today is the final day of registration for the UPMC MyHealth Ready to Quit™ tele-group (telephone-based group) coaching program.
If you’ve been trying to quit smoking or using other tobacco products, but haven’t felt you’ve had the necessary support, this option may be the perfect choice for you.
This program is made up of six 45-minute group phone sessions conducted in conference-call style. Each tele-group includes 10 to 15 participants — many of whom may be sharing your experience — and is led by a UPMC Health Plan health coach specializing in tobacco cessation. Readings and on-your-own assignments prepare you for each group coaching session.
Registration closes July 30, 2010, and sessions begin the week of Aug. 2.
Two tele-group options are available: Mondays, from 7 to 8 p.m., and Thursdays, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. To learn more about MyHealth Ready to Quit and to break your smoking habit, call 1-800-807-0751.
UPMC copayment reimbursement available through Sept. 30

To qualify, individuals must:
- Register for the MyHealth Ready to Quit program and have at least one order of their prescribed tobacco cessation medication filled between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2010.
- Complete the program.
- Complete a 90-day follow-up survey.
