What you need to know for your 2010 UPMC benefits

This November you will have your annual opportunity to review your UPMC benefits and make changes for the 2010 plan year. The benefits provided by UPMC will remain consistent; however, there will be some changes to the medical and dental options.

MyHealth has provided an opportunity for staff to participate in and improve their overall health and productivity. MyHealth is a proven strategy to lower the health risks of our employees and manage our medical costs without shifting more of the burden to employees. In 2010, UPMC will offer an increased deductible credit for those who participate and complete their MyHealth requirements by Nov. 13.

All medical options will include a deductible and a change in the prescription drug program as part of the overall benefit design. The information below outlines how a deductible impacts your out-of-pocket costs and the changes to the prescription drug benefit. The dental benefits are being enhanced to provide additional benefits and reduce your out-of-pocket costs for services.
