What are UPMC Perks?
UPMC Perks are discounts offered to UPMC staff, physicians, and volunteers on merchandise, recreation, and services.

How is a vendor discount obtained?
Staff must show a valid UPMC ID to obtain a vendor discount. Some vendors also may require a coupon or coupon code at the time of service. Details for obtaining a particular discount can be found under each vendor listing.

How do I refer a vendor?
Call the Perks hot line at 412-647-5690 and leave a message. Or, e-mail upmcperks@upmc.edu. You also may download a Vendor Application Form and Vendor Guidelines to provide to the vendor.

What is the application process?
All requests by vendors for inclusion in UPMC Perks must be submitted using the UPMC Perks Vendor Application Form, and are reviewed by the UPMC Perks Advisory Board in accordance with criteria established by UPMC policy.

Can vendors promote their offers within UPMC facilities?
Vendors are prohibited from on-site visits, displays, posting or distributing fliers, and/or solicitation of any kind while on UPMC property unless specifically permitted as part of a UPMC-sanctioned event. 

I’m a UPMC employee, but also have my own business. May I participate in UPMC Perks?
UPMC employees are not permitted to participate in UPMC Perks as vendors.

What if I have a problem or complaint about a vendor?
UPMC expects the vendor to address complaints received from staff in a timely manner, and communicate the resolution of complaints to the UPMC Perks Advisory Board. UPMC reserves the right to cancel the discount offer at any time if warranted by unresolved complaints received from staff, or if more than three episodes of negative feedback are received from staff.
