UPMC employees can take advantage of a new health incentive program offered through a partnership with the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

As a UPMC employee, you receive a $10 monthly health and wellness credit toward the full-facility monthly membership fee when you become a member at the Pittsburgh YMCA location of your choice (fees vary among locations). Or receive $10 off the monthly rate for an association-wide membership, which allows you to use any of the 17 YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh branches in the Pittsburgh area. You can have the monthly payments automatically deducted from your bank account or charged to a credit card. This arrangement currently includes only those YMCAs that are part of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

Additional health incentives apply depending on how often you use your membership. Visit the YMCA six times per month for three consecutive months and receive the fourth month of membership free. Under this incentive program, you can receive up to three months of free membership per year.

Facility membership covers exercise equipment, weight rooms, pool access (where available), and group exercise classes. In addition, facility members receive discounts of up to 50 percent on swimming lessons (where available), organized sports programs for all ages, group exercise classes, and other programs.

Initiation fee is waived for UPMC employees.
